iSpace Volunteer Positions

iSpace is a unique environment where technology startups can start up faster. We nurture a local network of like-minded and focused tech entrepreneurs, providing places where they can work, meet, collaborate, network, learn and have fun. Follow iSpace on Google+ for more updates.

iSpace is gradually taking shape and would love to hear from you if you are interested in volunteering some of your time in any of the positions below.


1. Social Media Volunteer


Description
If  you have a passion for social media and can demonstrate your understanding of social media backed up with some work experience then iSpace would love for you to join the volunteer team. This is a great position for anyone who loves digital, enjoys writing and knows a thing or two about online marketing.

What you will be doing
  • Online marketing and communications
  • Identifying bloggers and building relationships with them
  • Using social media to promote iSpace
  • Building the iSpace brand online
  • Analyzing results of online campaigns and using the results to inform future activities

The suitable volunteer must be the following
  • An idealistic individual with social media studies or journalism degree or runs their own successful blog
  • A quick learner who is energetic, social and intuitive
  • Have a excellent English writing and grammar skills
  • Very familiar with social media platforms with a klout score of 50+
  • Proactive and analytical
  • Creative thinker

2. Events Logistics Volunteer

Description
This role involves working directly with the Community Manager of the space to plan and work out all logistics for every event ahead of time. As every event is different, you may be asked to help with other tasks in addition to what’s listed below, however, these will be discussed with you to ensure you are happy with the tasks involved.

What you will be doing
  • Help set up iSpace and partner events
  • Support activities and other general event logistics working collectively with other team members to ensure events run smoothly
  • Preparing the agenda for all events

The suitable volunteer must be the following
  • A person with a bag of enthusiasm and a proactive attitude
  • Possess good communication skills
  • A person with a great smile and willing to work as part of a team
  • Prepared to take the initiative when necessary

3. Client Outreach Volunteer


Description
The Client Outreach position will be developing and implementing relations with potential partners and social change programs. The volunteer will be responsible for creating, planning and implementing varied partnerships together with the Business Development Manager who shares common interests with The iSpace Foundation.

What you will be doing
  • Plan partnership engagement strategies
  • Research and prepare reports, records and other documentation to coordinate partnership programs
  • Documenting potential partner contacts

The suitable volunteer must be the following
  • Have the ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with external agencies
  • Effective in verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette
  • Performs in tactful and professional manner

How much of your time is needed?

Any amount of time you can give in a month would be valuable to iSpace. Whether it’s a minimum of 8 hours or 20 hours a week or on key event days. Please note that some of their key events and programs take place during close of business and weekends.
