GODI stands for  Ghana Open Data Initiative. It is a portal populated with raw data ranging from Census data, Election data, Health data, Education data, Agricultural data, Telco Quality of Service data, Procurement data, Budget data and many more.  GODI was launched today  at the Accra International Conference Centrer during the 2nd General Meeting of  the Information Technology Association of Ghana (ITAG) with the Ministry of Communications and the National Information Technology Agency (NITA).

The Information Technology  Association  of  Ghana  ( ITAG ),  in partnership with the Ministry of Communications, National Information Technology Agency,  Ghana  Open Data Initiative,  KPMG  Ghana  and IPMC will  hold  its  2nd   General   Meeting  on 20 December, 2012 at the Accra International Conference Center from  8:00am . 

In Election 2012, Ghana's EC introduces a new process to verify voters before they are allowed to cast their vote. This was in the form of biometric verification, a good idea but poorly not so well implemented.

Getfeatured.biz  is the new kid on the Ghana classified block and its already kicking ass with its sleek interface and easy to use features. The MapMode which is still in beta mode currently allows viewers to see locations of listings on a rather well designed Google Map. Getfeatured currently accepts listings on  Jobs  |  Autos  |  Real Estate   Users of this service cannot only list ads, but they can also add their own locations to the  places  mode of Getfeatured
